We regularly discuss Spring cleanup, but, once you own a house, it is wise, to think, beyond, just cleaning, and reducing clutter, but, also, addressing certain preventive maintenance, repairs, etc, so as to get the most bang – for – the – buck, and protecting, what, for many folks, is that the single, biggest, financial asset. This post will briefly discuss, five specific areas.
Although, there are several joys of owning a home, owning it, suggests that that there are several responsibilities, especially, in terms of maintenance, and up – keep. each season, a sensible house owner, proceeds, in an organised manner, to handle certain minor problems, before they become larger ones.
styles change, tastes vary, and not everything, we have a tendency to purchase, we will still like and want! instead of overly, cluttering your closets, and, often, not having the ability to seek out, what you’re searching for, it’s smarter and a lot of efficient/ effective, to de – clutter, and organise your closets! Is your closet/ closets serving their best purpose, with efficiency and effectively, or may you create them serve your purposes, better? Wise householders usually, either install, or have professionals, install, closet systems, that organize and create your house seem neater, etc!
Wear – and – tear, is, often, a normal development, particularly within the interior sections of a house. Take this change of season, and climate, to inspect, wherever it would be, to, either, ensure changes and/ or upgrades, or merely, even, touching – up the paint, etc. create this cheap, by doing a bit, at a time, and budget accordingly!
examine the outside of the house, and look for cracks, imperfections, or any areas, which could have suffered, and/ or taken abuse, by the severities of the colder, winter season! particularly, examine the roof, leaders and gutters, drains, etc, and repair, as needed. Trim any tree over – hangs, clean windows, power – wash, and repair any apparent cracks, etc.
inspect paved and cemented areas, as well as walkways, driveways, patios, decks, etc. On a regular schedule, power – wash these areas, and treat/ polyurethane, etc, areas which could benefit from doing so. Repairs cracks, etc, thus you may seal them, and ensure, there are not any additional issues!
smart householders have a regular schedule, for planting, seeding, etc. Trim bushes, address soil, add seed to the lawns, water, examine sprinklers (either put in, underground, or on top of – ground), and pride oneself in home ownership!
This Spring cleanup list could be a important discipline, for those that own their homes! are you willing to protect, and take excellent care, of your single, biggest money investment?
